Created for the Spring 2007 24hr Toronto Film Challenge, Premiere is the result of a creative collaboration between a number of filmmakers and actors, some of whom hail from the now defunct Misconceptions Theatre Troupe of Mississauga.
All teams had 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a film. Each received the same criteria:
Genre: Documentary/Mockumentary Theme: Do It Yourself Prop: Paint Swatch Line: "Famous last words."
This edit adds an additional two and a half minutes to the original contest version, which more completes the director's vision (an itch to make things a little more weird).
While never pushed by the producers on the festival circuit, Premiere was invited to play at the 2008 Floating Film Festival, one of the most exclusive film festivals in the world.
